Flashcards for each level of the Abrid Course

The Abrid Flashcards are designed to supplement the Abrid course for learning Tamazight and correspond with Abrid Student Books 1-3. They can help you study vocabulary, verb conjugations, and grammar, and even answer comprehension questions! If you have trouble understanding the content on a flashcard, simply open the corresponding Abrid Student Book and chapter to learn more about the topic.

To purchase the Flashcards, contact Driss at Cultivate Language Center at [email protected] or +212 650348325

The Anki app must be downloaded in order to access the flashcards. To download Anki on your PC or Mac go to this website: https://apps.ankiweb.net/. AnkiDroid can be found in the Google Play store and AnkiMoble in the Apple App Store. Anki is free to use on a PC, Mac, or Android, but you need to pay $24.99 to the Apple App Store for use on an iOS. You do not need AnkiPro! You also do not need to have an account to use the Anki flashcards. However, if you create a user account, you will be able to sync your progress on your flash cards between a laptop and a mobile device.

Once you have the Anki app on your laptop or mobile device, simply open the file sent to you containing the flashcards. If you already have Anki, be sure that the file with the Abrid flashcards ends with .apkg. as a .colpkg will erase your current decks and replace them with the flashcards from the .colpkg. All .apkg files should simply be added to your current flashcard collection without erasing them.

Once you have the Anki app open, you may study all of the flashcards together, or in smaller and smaller subdecks. When beginning, it is recommended that you study only the flashcards with the corresponding Abrid Student Book and chapter. To open and collapse decks, simply click on the +/-  or  v / > sign beside the deck name. To study a deck or subdeck, click on the deck/subdeck name. If you find you have too many flashcards in the deck, exit the deck, expand to view subdecks, and click on the name of a subdeck.
